SYRACUSE -- Third-year Orange head football coach Doug Marrone regularly extends his day well beyond the scope of his primary responsibility of directing the Syracuse program.

Marrone is very invested in the Syracuse community. The organizers of the Dimples Awareness Foundation, the Vera House, Elmcrest Children’s Center, Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation, the Syracuse University Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities, the Boys and Girls Club of Syracuse, the Ronald McDonald House and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and many other organizations that invite him to speak at their events and meetings all realize how generous Marrone is with his time.

ESPN the Magazine used a different approach to determine that Marrone is 'America's Friendliest Football Coach.' Read the full story in the magazine by clicking
