C-NS's Stewart & USA Beat Japan at Worlds

Cicero North Syracuse Basketball Senior to be Breanna Stewart scored 13 points and added 13 rebounds in Team USA's 85-63 win over Japan in Chili on Wednesday. Stewart also added two blocks in 24 minutes played in what was the opening game of the FIBA U19 World Championship for Women. Bria Hartley led the way for USA with 18 points. Hartley is a member of the Uconn Huskies, a future teammate of Stewart.

USA will take on Russia next on Friday.
