It's a day the OCC Lacrosse family has been waiting for since May, the day the team would earn its National Championship rings.

The day started out with an alumni team taking on the current Lazers on a rainy, windy day at David Murphy Field and it ended with all members of the 2011 squad earning its championship rings.

It was a day of reflection for many, as the Lazers have won three titles in a row, and 5 out of the last 6 championsips. The team though, also saw just about every one of its outgoing sophomores land a spot with a prestigious four year institution.

I had the distinct honor of announcing each player as Head Coach Chuck Wilbur presented each player with their ring. OCC Athletic Director Rob Edson offered his words of praise for the team as well.

The Lazers 2012 campaign kicks off on March 10th at David Murphy Field against Genesee Community College.
