It's an exciting accomplishment for any school to have a student athlete sign with a Division One school for any sport.
Christian Brothers Academy took it to a whole new level on Monday.
Eight senior lacrosse players signed with Division One lacrosse programs. The four boys who signed are Shane Murphy and Nick Papayanakos who will play at Marist, Joe Dalfo signed with Binghamton and Chris Underwood will play at Albany next year.
The four girls who signed are Sophie Racciatti, who will play at Binghamton, Courtney Henderson who will play at Albany and Caroline Webster and Taylor Gait will stay home and play for Syracuse. Taylor Gait is the daughter of SU Womens Lacrosse Head Coach Gary Gait, providing the unique opportunity for her to play for her dad at the next.
"It's really exciting, and my dad gets to coach me, I'm pumped!" Gait said.
The girls lacrosse team at CBA won the New York State Championship last season, rest assured with all of this talent returning the Brothers should contend for the crown once again.
