AndyRautins will begin playing professional basketball again starting next week according to his father. Leo Rautins confirmed to CNYCentral that the former Orange star will be a player on Club Baloncesto Lucentum Alicante, a professional basketball team based in Spain.
Dallas waived Rautins last week after the New York Knicks traded him to the Mavericks as part of deal that got them Tyson Chandler. Andy Rautins Tweeted at the time "I had a great time in NY. Thank you to those who wished me well and supported me throughout my time here. Best of luck to my boys this year."
Leo Rautins also played in both the NBA and Spain, and in other parts of Europe. Andy was not available for comment on Wednesday.
