One day after SU defensive end Chandler Jones took to Twitter to announce that he's headed to the 2012 NFL Draft, SU fans are thankful that Orange defensive star Shamarko Thomas has tweeted he is not. The 5-foot-10, 208 pound strong safety has tweeted that he plans on returning to play one more season for the SU Football team, stating "I've decided to put my NFL career on hold for another year and will remain at SU for another season to further develop myself as an athlete." He then sent a second tweet about an hour later that said
"Cusenation I feel like I'm not done yet I feel like (Phillip Thomas) and (Chandler Jones) set there mark at cuse as great athletes I feel like I didnt".
Thomas finished this past season with 67 tackles and 47 solo tackles, despite missing two games with a leg injury.
