Scoop Jardine made sure his last game in the Carrier Dome against UConn would be one he always remembered.

The redshirt senior guard scored 21 points, including back to back three pointers when SU's lead was cut to two, to help lead the Orange to an 85-67 win over Connecticut.

The 25th win of the year for Syracuse came in front of 33,430 fans, the largest on-campus crowd in all of college basketball this season, and the 4th largest in Carrier Dome basketball history.

UConn cut a 10 point Orange lead down to a pair when Jardine stepped up, he nailed a clutch three and followed that up with another on SU's next posession that sent the Orange crowd roaring. He was a perfect 4-4 from three point land.

His cousin, Dion Waiters, scored 18 points.

Before Scoop's monstrous run in the second half, a lot of the talk was about C.J. Fair, who, given the opponent, had a career game with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Kris Joseph followed up his career high 29 points he had Wednesday with a very respectable 14 tonight, while Fab Melo scored 8 points to go along with 3 blocks.

Syracuse is now 25-1 on the year and 12-1 in Big East play, with a very tough road game next, a road date at Louisville on Monday night.
