Central New York's Olympic hero Lopez Lomong is returning home, hoping to become the hero that saved the Tully High School's track program. Tully's indoor track program has been cut from this year's school budget, and that has prompted Lomong to return to the Syracuse area this Friday to take part in Tully's fundraiser called "Run with an Olympian"

According to Fleet Feet Sports, the event will feature a one-mile fun run and a 5-kilometer run. The Tully team needs to raise $9,000 dollars for the program, and is asking for ten dollar donations. Fleet Feet Sports will says they will donate a percentage of all sales of Nike footwear, apparel and accessories this weekend to help the cause.

The runs will take place on the school's cross-country course at 6 PM this Friday.
