STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - Miguel Maysonet carried 27 times for 198 yards, including the winning touchdown, as Stony Brook overcame three costly turnovers to defeat Colgate 32-31 Saturday night.

Maysonet rushed nine times for 53 yards on the winning drive by Stony Brook (3-1), which went 75 yards in 12 plays to regain the lead with 3:31 remaining.

The Seawolves, who lost 28-17 to Syracuse last week after leading at halftime, raced to a 17-0 lead against the Raiders (1-3) and led 17-7 before the turnovers bit them.

A second-quarter fumble by Maysonet led to Gavin McCarney's 51-yard touchdown pass to Ed Pavalko on Colgate's next play.

Chris Homer intercepted Kyle Essington's pass at the Stony Brook 23, and McCarney's 5-yard run gave Colgate a 21-17 halftime lead.

Essington's third-quarter fumble after getting sacked at the Seawolves' 14 was returned by linebacker Austin Dier for a score and a 28-20 Colgate lead.
