SYRACUSE -- After some speculation that the Syracuse Orange basketball team's "Battle on the Midway" against San Diego State University might be cancelled, SU Athletics confirmed today that the game will be played.
On Friday afternoon, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported that the game was in danger of being cancelled, but SUathletics.com says that both universities, FOX Sports San Diego and the USS Midway confirmed today that the game will indeed be played on Friday, November 9th on the USS Midway aircraft carrier.
