Three years ago it was just distant dream that Anthony Santoro would be signing his letter of intent to play college baseball.

"I started catching in 9th grade because the team didn't have a catcher" says Santoro.

Fast forward three years later, and not only is Santoro one the best catchers in the area, but is arguably the best baseball player, as evident as he was heavily recruited by both Canisius and St. Boaventure.

In the end, the 5'11 190 pound selected to catch for the Golden Griffins of Canisius, as Santoro believes it was the better fit.

"It was a tough decision, but we thought we had a good fit. We really liked the campus when we visited. The coach is a great guy".

Santoro was grateful for the opportunity, thanking his coaches for helping him reach his dream of playing ball at the next level.

"I thank my coaches, because without my coaches, I wouldn't be here".
