SYRACUSE -- Bishop Ludden's signing day ceremony featured three players going to Division I schools. If you follow CNY high school athletics, all the names will sound familiar.

Running Back Omar Osbourne will join fellow Section III stars Will Fiacchi and Cole King at UAlbany to play football for the Great Danes. Joining Osbourne at the ceremony were Mark DeAngelis who will play wide receiver at Division I Wagner. John Rooney is taking his baseball prowess to Division I Siena.

Before a ceremony of about 50 people and media members, Westhill Athletic Director Matt Whipple said that about 2% of all high school athletes go on to play in college, and that less than 1% play at the Division I level. With that said, the athletes above and Westhill's Tom Fisher have accomplished quite the feat. Fisher, a tight end for the Warriors football team will take his talents to D-I Fordham.
