BALDWINSVILLE -- For the fourth year the CARP Tournament Northeast Regionals are being held in Baldwinsville. Today more than forty teams of professional carp anglers will take up spots along the Seneca River to compete in what organizers say is one of the toughest pro-level carp fishing competitions in the world.
"Baldwinsville and the Seneca River have gained notoriety as a first-class and trying fishery," said David Moore, CARP Tournaments tournament director. "I remember our first year here. We all realized quickly this place was special. My hat's off to the people of Baldwinsville for their vision. This year we're attracting our circuit anglers and a nice contingent of talented local anglers who are joining the event. It's rewarding to see the community embrace what we do."
Competitors are hoping for a share of a prize pool of $10,000 in cash and $5,000 in tackle.
