CICERO -- The Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament was a hit this weekend.
Huge crowds poured in to watch the basketball games, with the proceeds helping the Cicero CanTeen, an after school program for kids in grades 8 through 12.
And while that's the main focus, the tournament has had a bigger impact.
"Also our vendor area has some youth serving groups here in the vendor area making some money as well," says Toni'lyn Brauchle of the Cicero Youth Bureau, "So the whole community benefits from bringing an vent of this size to the area."
Brauchle says the event will be back next year and plans are already in place to make it better. She says the court layout will be tweaked to allow room for more courts which hopefully, she says, will allow more people.
