Saturday was a special day for CBA's senior soccer striker Alexis Koval. In CBA's game against the F-M Hornets, Koval raced past the defense and notched a game-tying goal late in the first half. The goal was huge in the game, as it tied the contest and the game stayed that way all the way through to a 2-2 finish. That goal though, was Koval's 100th of her career, a mythical stat qutie frankly and Koval can enjoy for the rest of her life. After the shot hit the net, Koval's teammates came out and hugged her, and the CBA faithful who made the short drive to the Manlius Swan Pond held up "100" signs. CBA is on the heels of a State Championship Game appearance, and hopes Koval can lead them to more of the same in 2010.
Elsewhere in Section III High School Sports, Jordan-Elbridge stretched a 9-7 halftime lead into a 29-13 victory over LaFayette. Mike Killeen's 44 yard run broke the game open to a 15-7 margin and the Eagles never looked back.
