Teams were fighting for their right to play in the Carrier Dome for a Section III championship in tonight's quartet of games.

Onondaga: 24  Beaver River: 0  F

Onondaga advanced to the Class D, Section III championship game with a shutout victory over Beaver River. Dan Southard had an interception and two touchdowns in the victory.

Sandy Creek: 17  Weedsport: 7  F

Sandy Creek used a 17 point fourth quarter to get by Weedsport. Comet QB Corey Sprague threw and ran for a touchdown in the victory. Sandy Creek  will face Onondaga in the Class D, Section III championship.

Whitesboro: 49  Cortland: 13  F

Whitesboro turned a close game at the half into a route with 28 unanswered points in the 2nd half. Mike Sullivan and Steve Almond each ran for two touchdowns in the victory.

Watertown: 42  Indian River: 22  F

Tevion Cappe ran for 5 touchdowns in Watertown's 20 point victory over Indian River. Watertown will face Whitesboro for the Class A, Section III Championship.
