DEWITT -- This week's Bryant and Stratton CNY Central Athlete comes from Jamesville-DeWitt.

Tyler Cavanaugh is a junior forward for the Red Rams' basketball team. While Cavanaugh stands 6'8", he's just as comfortable behind the arc as he is in the paint.

Cavanaugh has a unique skill set, a forward who shoots the three and even plays the point when needed for the Red Rams.

He says that versatility is his best attribute.

"I think my veracity is a great aspect of my game and I've always prided myself on that. Being able to shoot the three and play inside, so if I'm not shooting well I can go inside," Cavanaugh says.

J-D head coach Bob McKinney says Cavanaugh has been getting some looks from division one basketball programs. But for now, Cavanaugh says he's focused on winning a fourth consecutive state title for the Red Rams.
