The Jamesville-Dewitt boys basketball team took one one of the best Class AA teams in the state, and beat them by 5. The Red Rams, playing without Demetrius Mitchell got 22 points from DaJuan Coleman and 19 from Tyler Cavanaugh to turn a 4-point halftime deficit into a 5 point win. The Royal Comets made things interesting late but J-D got timely hoops from Cavanaugh and Coleman to stay victorious. SU Football recruit Ashton Broyld scored 12 for Rush-Henrietta.

In other games, it was Onondaga picking it up in the 2nd half to beat Tully 60-51. Daniel Morse led the way with 25 points, and 3 three pointers in the victory. Malik Mountain scored 15 points for Tully in a losing cause. The Peppino's Invitational host team, meanwhile, took care of a Fairport team out of Rochester 51-47. It was a true balenced effort with 4 Black Knights scoring 11 points to improve to 2-0 on the season.

 Elsewhere on Saturday, ES-M beat F-M 83-65.

In boys hockey, Oswego fell to Fairport 5-4, and C-NS beat Hamilton 6-1.

In girls basketball J-D beat Fulton 36-33. CBA beat Central Square 53-32 and F-M defeated Liverpool 49-39.
