Big East Bubble Watch - 2/1/2011 Update

If the NCAA Tournament started today, here’s how I see the Big East faring.
In the Tournament -
Pittsburgh (20-2 RPI 8) Pitt looks like a #1 seed to me.
Georgetown (17-5 RPI 3) The Hoyas aren't as good as their RPI number indicates and their five losses are somewhat troubling but.... G-Town is a lock for the tournament.
Villanova (17-4 RPI 14) 'Nova has been hot and cold all season. The hot version has Final Four potential. The cold version could easily lose in the first round.
Connecticut (17-3 RPI 6) UConn might be running out of Kemba Walker miracles but showing sign of improved team play. Could be a #2 seed if they finish strong.
Notre Dame (17-4 RPI 9) Notre Dame is the hot flavor of the month. The Irish are a lock for the tournament and if they continue to play this well, a #3 seed isn't out of the question.
Syracuse (18-4 RPI 20) The Orange need a parachute to stop their free fall.
West Virginia (14-6 RPI 13) I'm skeptical of WV but their good RPI number makes them a lock.
Louisville (17-5 RPI 22) Still flying under the radar but good enough to make a run.
St. Johns (12-8 RPI 24) The win over Duke should be enough to get them into the tournament as a decent seed.
Looking Very Good -
Cincinnati (18-4 RPI 44) Shaky RPI but Cincy would easily be in if the tournament started today.
Bubble Leaning In -
Marquette (14 -8 RPI 59) Marquette’s awful strength of schedule will come back to haunt them in March. The Golden Eagles will be a close call.
Wrong Side of the Bubble -
none
Not Happening
Providence (13-9 RPI 99)
Rutgers (12-9 RPI 98)
Need a Miracle
Seton Hall
South Florida
