Excitement is always high when these two schools match up and Friday night was a prime example of just how good this rivalry is.

A packed BIshop Grimes gym saw the Cobras beat rival Ludden in a battle for playoff position.

Mike Stone scored 28 points for Grimes, with Mike Sugamosto adding 12 in the victory.

Daniel Kaigler led the way for Ludden with 20 points.

Henninger: 69  Auburn: 49

A close game at the half turned into a Henninger rout.

The Black Knights narrowly led Auburn 28-26 at the half, but Henninger outscored the Maroons 41-23 in the second half to cruise to victory.

Kavon Delee led the way for Henninger with 21 points.

Turning to girl's hoops, Coriesha Hickey led the Cougars to a win over the visiting Warriors.

Hickey scored a game-high 25 points in the victory to improve Corcoran's record to 11-3.

Liverpool's Ally Zywicki had a strong effort in the loss, scoring 24 points.
