The crowd had the buzz of a Sectional Playoff game, I suppose that's to be expected when perennial powers like CBA and Bishop Grimes do battle. They don't play often, due to being in completely different classes but this one was worth the wait.
It was an up and down game, and while CBA led most of the second half, the Cobras were always within striking distance even when Stephen Lembo drained a three that cut the deficit to three with under 20 seconds to play. The Brothers though did pull out the victory 62-57.
Mike Stone led Bishop Grimes with 29 points, and Rob Cuomo scored 18 for CBA.
Before the game, sticking with the Catholic School theme, the team from Blessed Sacrament in Eastwood battled St. Rose of Lima from North Syracuse.
