It was a special day for two Westhill high school student athletes, both signing letters of intent with their future colleges. Lauren Perry and Toni Secreti shared their special day with fellow students as an school assembly in their honor. Perry will take her swimming career to Bucknell University in the fall, while Secreti signed a national letter of intent to play softball at Dominican College next year. Here's how a representative from Bishop Ludden describes their two accomplishments.

Lauren is a three time Section III champion in the 50 yard freestyle and a two time champion in the 100 yard free. She qualified for the New York State championships for the last three years finishing 4th in the 100 free, and 10th in the 50 free her senior year. Lauren was a captain her senior year and team MVP four years in a row. She holds the school record in the 100 free and was part of the school record 400 free relay team. She was selected the most outstanding Section III swimmer in 2009.

Secreti's choice Dominican College is a D-2 school in a very competitive conference and currently ranked 5th in the EAST. Toni has been a 4 year starter for Westhill. During this time she has broken all the pitching records at Westhill (over 800 strike outs). As a starter, the team has recorded 92 wins.
