SOLVAY -- Two Solvay High School seniors plan to sign letters of intent to play college basketball next year.
Dan Aiello will sign a letter of intent for Roberts Wesleyan College and Tessa Pucello will sign a letter of intent for Le Moyne College.
That will take place at Solvay High School on Wednesday, April 27th at 2:15 p.m.
CNY Central just learned the news in this press released issued from Solvay High School:
Dan Aiello is a three-year varsity starter. For his career, Dan scored 936 points, pulled down 538 rebounds and handed out 140 assists. During his senior year, Dan averaged 18.2 points, 10 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. In addition to being named Honorable Mention on the All-CNY team for the 2010-2011 season, he was second team all-league as a junior and first team all-league as a senior. A 6' 7" center/forward, Dan is a good outside shooter who can also take his game inside, and is a great passer for a big man who led his team in assists this past season. Dan will continue his basketball career at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester.
Tessa Pucello is Solvay High School's all-time leading scorer (1,405) and rebounder (1,189), male or female. She is a three-time All-CNY player and unanimous three-time all-league first team member. Tessa is also a two-time Zebra Classic player who was most recently named to this year's Zebra Classic All-Tournament Team. She has also won numerous athlete of the week awards. Tessa, an honor roll student, has been a great role model for the younger Solvay community. Tessa will continue her basketball career at Le Moyne College in Syracuse.
