LAFAYETTE -- This week's Bryant & Stratton College CNY Central Athlete, Evan Terrell, is helping his team climb to new heights, in a scenario where that wouldn't seem likely.

The LaFayette baseball season started tragically with the passing of Head Coach Jerry Kelly's wife Mary-Jo. The team, led by the seniors including Terrell, showed their support by having patches on their jerseys with the initials "MJK" on them.

Terrell, obviously, shows leadership off the field, but on the field he's been a major help too. As the lead-off hitter, he's started three games with doubles, and always seems to find a way to get on base. Kelly calls him someone that any coach wants on their team.
