Auburn falls 9-6 in home opener

The Auburn Doubledays made a valiant comeback in the late innings, but fell in their home opener to the Batavia Muckdogs 9-6.
The game turned in the 5th when Batavia scored 5 runs to take a 6-1 lead.
Khayyan Norfolk led the way for Auburn with 4 RBIs. Former Chief Seth Bynum hit a home run while rehabbing with the Doubledays.
The Doubledays move to 1-1 on the year.
Auburn is in its first year as the Class A affiliate for the Washington Nationals after previously being aligned with the Toronto Blue Jays.
