Hockey, golf and football combined in the perfect way at Pompey Golf Club on Wednesday morning, as the Syracuse Crunch held their annual Golf Tournament featuring SU Quarterback Ryan Nassib. Crunch forward Kyle Palmieri and defenseman Mat Clark also hit the links on Wednesday morning along with their team's owner Howard Dolgan, who says he is getting more excited about the second season as a Anaheim Ducks affiliate as the off-season progresses.

"When you read the Andrew Gordon signings, when you read about the goalie (Jeff) Deslauriers , with Bryan Rodney and Brian McGrattan coming back," pondered Dolgan, "now you've got a team that has the youth and veterans combined, and some leadership behind the bench now with Brett Lauer, you think you know we have a chance to do something here."

"I think Anaheim went after a lot of guys who are going to help us out at both levels, says Palmieri, "and wherever I end up it'll be a fun year."

"Anaheim has definitely made some good moves and some good pick ups," added Clark, "It's pretty exciting, I'm excited to meet the new guys."

Ryan Nassib, meanwhile, was playing in the Crunch tournament for the second straight year. The SU Quarterback admits his golf game is much stronger this year than it was last year, and that gave him a lot more confidence on the course. His football career could be paralleled with that philosophy heading towards this year's SU Football season, with one full year under his belt as SU's starting QB and a Pinstripe Bowl victory under his belt.

"I think offensively we're definitely confident," explains Nassib, "I think we definitely have some confidence knowing we can do what we did on a regular bases if we just put in the work, feel confident and get consistent out there. So the offense we're much better as a team."
