Skiddy Park was basketball central Wednesday afternoon. Dozens of kids got to play on a brand new court, and meet some Syracuse basketball legends along the way.

The Courts 4 Kids program helps refurbish courts in Syracuse area parks. The program was founded by Orange head coach Jim Boeheim and former Orange player Carmelo Anthony.

On Wednesday, former Orange stars Derrick Coleman and John Wallace joined Coach Boeheim in dedicating the new courts at Skiddy Park.

The program has already renovated courts at Wilson Park and Schiller park, and Coach Boeheim says there are no plans on stopping now.

"We started this, we wanted to do a park every year," Boeheim says. "We're on schedule. We want to do a park every year we're able."

Skiddy Park is located on the city's west side, off of Fayette St.
