The Syracuse University Football Team certainly isn't overlooking Rhode Island, but it may be a sigh of relief that they're playing the FCS-level Rams.

SU announced on Tuesday that Chandler Jones, Rishard Anderson, and Olando Fisher who are all key contributors on defense will be out of activity "until further notice".

Whether or not that includes Saturday's game with Rhode Island (4:30 p.m., Carrier Dome) is unclear, but if the trio needs an extra week to heal up, this would be the most ideal of any (outside of an off week) with a trip to USC looming on September 17th.

  Syracuse University junior cornerback Ri’Shard Anderson, senior safety Olando Fisher and senior defensive end Chandler Jones are out of activity until further notice due to injuries sustained in Syracuse’s 36-29 overtime victory against Wake Forest. Anderson sustained an upper body injury, while Fisher and Jones sustained lower body injuries.

     Anderson started against Wake Forest before leaving the game with an injury, while Fisher posted three solo tackles and Jones had five tackles, including 0.5 sacks.
