It was a special day for the West Genesee High School Girls Swimming and Diving team.

The Wildcats (8-0) took out previously unbeaten Baldwinsville (6-1) 53-39 and in the process clinched a CNYCL League Championship.

West Genny was propelled by a stellar effort from all its team members, but the record breaking performance of Olivia Castro in the 200 meter free style. Castro's time of 2:03.11 was good enough to set a pool record in Baldwinsville.

The Wildcats 200 meter individual medley relay team also broke a pool record on its way to the win.
