Syracuse University isn't the only basketball team "dancing" this March. Several Central New York colleges are in the Division III Men's Tournament this year.
Oswego State will be one of the host schools. It's the second straight year the Lakers have made the NCAA tournament. They will take on Endicott College on Friday at Laker Hall. The game time will be announced tomorrow. If Oswego State advances they will take on the winner of the Medaille College - Eastern Connecticut State matchup. That game would be in Oswego on Saturday.
Morrisville State is making its first ever appearance in the Division III NCAA Tournament. Their road to the regionals is a little tougher having to go to Vermont to play host school Middlebury. That game will happen Friday night at 8pm.
The Ithaca Bombers are also in the tournament this year. They are taking on the College of Staten Island on Friday.
The Division III tournament is slightly different than the NCAA tournament you may be used to. There are 62 teams that qualify, two of which get first round byes. The Division III championship game will be played in Salem, VA on March 17th.
