SAN DIEGO -- Syracuse Orange Head Coach Jim Boeheim and San Diego State Head Coach Steve Fisher got together aboard the USS Midway Museum flight deck in San Diego on Wednesday, a chance to check out the sight of what will be "The Battle on the Midway".

The Orange are slated to play the Aztecs on November 9th, 2012 aboard the aircraft carrier, but the basketball matchup is almost secondary according to Boeheim.

"We have a very close relationship with the 10th Mountain (Division), which is located at Fort Drum in New York," explained Boeheim, "and they're the (Division) that's first and foremost on the ground in Afghanistan. We've learned so much from having this relationship with them, it's been so good for our players, we gone up and trained actually at the camp. I think we've lost sight in the country of how important it is to do these things and to honor the military, and that's why we're here."

While Coach Fisher joked that he's rather not be facing a team as elite as the Orange in the game, the Aztecs are slated to return four of its five starters from this past season, and its top four scorers.
