Dion Waiters scored 10 points in his NBA Summer League debut for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but committed a costly error in the Cavs 68-64 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats.

For a while, it looked like Waiters was the hero as he drilled a long two pointer from just inside the three point arc that gave Cleveland a one-point lead. However, seconds later Waiters hauled in an inbounds pass. A double team trapped him and he called a time out but there was a problem.

Cleveland had no timeouts left.

Waiters was assessed a techincal foul and his former Big East rival Kemba Walker from UConn made free throws that helped deliver Charlotte to victory.

Waiters' 10 points came by way of 3-11 shooting with a three pointer and three free throws. He also finished with four assists and four rebounds.

Dion scored the first basket of the contest, a three pointer from the left wing, but went cold from there and didn't score again until the fourth quarter.
