The matchups have been released for Wednesday's Notah Begay Foundation Challenge at Atunyote Golf Club at Turning Stone, and it will be the host Begay teaming up with his buddy Tiger Woods. The duo will take on K.J. Choi and Y.E. Yang, in a format dubbed "East vs. West" featuring American players taking on the Asian players, in one of three stroke-play matches. The winning team will share $450,000, and the main beneficiary will be the Notah Begay Foundation, a charity that helps improve the quality of life for Native Amecian Youth.
"I'm happy and humbled to announce that the Challenge will celebrate its fifth anniversary this year," said Begay. "This event has played such a huge part in helping the NB3 Foundation in its mission of empowering Native youth to sustain active, healthy and productive lives. The support from the Oneida Indian Nation and commitment from great players such as Tiger, Rickie, K.J. and Yani to attend and compete means so much to me. Together, we continue the battle against obesity and type 2 diabetes to improve Native communities everywhere."
The challenge tees off at 11 AM at Atunyote. The rest of the pairings are listed below.
Gary Woodland/Cristie Kerr vs. Danny Lee/Se Ri Pak
