SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse University men’s basketball 2012-2013 schedule was announced Wednesday.
The Syracuse Orange Big East "swan song" schedule has been released, and Syracuse will end their final season in the Big East Conference in fitting fashion, a road game against their biggest rival the Georgetown Hoyas. SU's other game against Georgetown is at the Carrier Dome on February 23rd, one of two games slated to be broadcast nationally on CBS. The March 2nd game against Louisville will also be on CBS.
The Orange will kick off the Big East schedule at home against Rutgers on January 2nd. Senior Day for the Orange will be on March 6th when SU hosts DePaul in their final regular season home game as a member of the Big East.
Nine of SU's opponents earned NCAA Tournament berths last season, and they include Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgetown, Louisville, Marquette, Notre Dame, San Diego State, USF and Temple.
SU fans are still waiting for three more Syracuse home games to be announced for the Gotham Classic. Here is a look at the entire SU Basketball Big East schedule.
