Central New York football lights up October sky

SYRACUSE -- Section III football began its October slate of games with a full slate of action Friday night, equipped with some matchups between teams with the best records in Central New York.
Christian Brothers Academy welcomed Henninger High School to their home turf in a hard hitting battle. CBA came into the game undefeated at 5-0, while Henninger boasted a 4-1 record on the season. CBA jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 27-12 victory. Deshawn Salter ran for 223 yards and tallied two touchdowns, while teammate Joey Pascarella ran for 82 yards with one touchdown.
In the closest game of the night, East Syracuse-Minoa traveled to Chittenango in a non-league battle. In a back and forth battle, Chittenango scored a late touchdown to pull out a 27-26 victory.
