The Syracuse Orange pulled off their most convincing win of the season on Friday night, and they did it against former SU Head Coach Paul Pasqualoni. Alec Lemon made things sour for the Huskies' defense with eight catches for 166 yards, in the process setting up three touchdowns. Lemon also caught an 11 yard touchdown pass as Syracuse beat Connecticut 40-10.
With the win the Orange improve to 3-4 on the season and snap a five-game losing skid against Uconn. More importantly they avoid losing their second straight against the program's former head coach.
The Syracuse defense was very affective against UConn quarterback Chandler Whitmer, while the Huskies offense finished with negative six yards rushing. Syracuse's Jerome Smith finished with a career high 133 yards rushing on 19 carries. Ryan Nassib was 14 of 20 for 251 yards passing, while Ross Krautman kicked four field goals.
