A group of clergy members from across Central New York are taking on a big challenge.

This week, 27 of them are living on the average food stamp benefit, which is $33.60 in New York State. That's their total grocery budget for the week.

The challenge allows them to see what life is like for millions of low-income people living in the United States.

Rabbi Daniel Fellman from Temple Concord in Syracuse appeared on The Talk Tonight on NBC3 to talk about what they're doing and why.
