FISHERS, NY (AP) -- Apple growers are hoping a new app for iPods and iPhones will help push their produce.

"Them Apples" is a new application downloadable free on iTunes. It was created by Aquariform Designs with help from the New York Apple Association, a grower's group.

The app features a comprehensive index of the most popular apple varieties and their best uses. It is intended for use by supermarket shoppers.
