A letter sent home to families in the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District on March 6 said two shotgun shells were found in the trash can of the fourth, fifth and sixth grade section of the cafeteria.

The mother of a 5-year-old boy, who she says was roughed up inside the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School, is accusing the district of not doing enough to stop bullying. APW School Superintendent Gerry Hudson says "we’re reactive and proactive" and points out that the district has established an anti-bullying taskforce.
