It's shaping up to be a good year for maple syrup. Last year, it got too warm too fast. We need below freezing temperatures at night and above freezing temperatures during the day. This year, we're right on track for a good crop of maple products.

The drought is having an impact on this year's pumpkin crop. At Critz Farms in Cazenovia there is more dirt showing this year. Owner Matthew Critz says normally by this time, all you would see is the pumpkin plants.
