Original story:
People across Central New York spent Wednesday morning digging out from a record-breaking snowfall.
In Eastwood, Alex Bowe was still trying to get used to the idea of such an early winter. "I can't believe it, because it was so nice a week and a half ago. It was like that perfect fall afternoon and then winter decided to come," she says.
It sure did. Since Sunday, more than three feet of snow has fallen on some parts of Central New York. Ron Shore in Eastwood has a Florida license plate on his car and says he is pretty much done with the snow already.
"I'm starting to get tired of it. I'm waiting for the snow to stop," he said.
That could take some time. The lake effect snow is expected to continue at least until Thursday morning. Bill Gutowski has a snowblower but says it was having a tough time dealing with so much snow.
"It's a heavy snow, 'cause it is wet. So the snowblower is going slow," he says.
