Tyler Roberson chooses to play basketball at Syracuse

The 2012 season is just underway, but Syracuse basketball fans already have good reason to salivate about 2013. Tyler Robertson announced tonight on ESPNU that he'll play his College Basketball at Syracuse University, picking the Orange over Kansas and Villanova. The 6-foot-8 forward from Union, N.J. Is listed as the 27th ranked player in the 2013 class, and the 10th ranked power forward.

"They're going into the ACC next year which is a really good conference," Roberson said on ESPNU, "And coach Boeheim is one of the best coaches in college basketball and they're just a really good college team."

According to Zagsblog, Roberson can play both forward positions but said his goal is to "Just to come in and help the team however I can and contribute."

Syracuse now has five commitments for 2013, the others being point guard Tyler Ennis, small forward B.J. Johnson, shooting guard Ron Patterson and big man Chinonso Obokoh out of Rochester.
