SYRACUSE -- A second person has attempted suicide on an elevated portion of Interstate 81 near Destiny USA this month.

Syracuse Police are investigating an apparent attempted suicide that happened on Alliance Bank Parkway on Monday morning.

Police say a woman appears to have jumped from an elevated portion of I-81 Northbound over Alliance Bank Parkway.

While officers investigated the incident, they have closed off the entrance ramp from Hiawatha Boulevard to 81 Northbound.

The woman was taken to Upstate University Hospital in very critical condition.

Earlier this month a person attempted suicide from a nearby section of I-81 over Park Street.
