SYRACUSE -- On Friday, the city of Syracuse will declare a section of one of its most heavily traveled roads Jackie Robinson Way. It is one of several high honors to come for the legendary former anchorwoman this week.

On Wednesday, Robinson will be inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Hall of Fame. On Thursday evening there is a public celebration of her long career at the Oncenter. Then, the street naming ceremony caps the week on Friday.

In September, Robinson announced her retirement, telling viewers she always tried to deliver the news with integrity, remembering "But, for the grace of God, go I." After 34 years at the same television station, Robinson delivered one last, "Good Night Central New York" at the end of her final newscast.
