OSWEGO -- A Syracuse man was arrested Friday evening in Oswego after police seized about 17 grams of cocaine.
Police say that around 5:00 p.m., they observed a 2007 Ford F-150 pick- up truck violate several traffic laws.
Police stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Lawrence Street and East 8th Street. They demined that the driver, Mathew S. Perry, 43, was operating the vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by drugs.
Police searched Perry and seized 18 individually wrapped bags of cocaine, about 17 grams.
Perry was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to signal, and inadequate plate lamp.
He was arraigned in Scriba Town Court and was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 Bail Bond. Perry is expected back in Oswego City Court on Tuesday.
