GUILFORD -- The Chenango County Sheriff's Office arrested a woman Wednesday for child endangerment after using obscene language and gestures in public.

47 year old Charity Rifenbark is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies say the arrest was a result of an investigation into a harassment complaint. Deputies say Rifenbark used obscene language and made obscene gestures in public and in the presence of a 2 year old child.

Rifenbark will appear before the Town of Guilford Court on January 22.
