BINGHAMTON (AP) -- Two former employees have admitted stealing a combined $300,000 from an upstate New York bank.

U.S. Attorney Richard Hartunian says 54-year-old Megan Horton and 43-year-old Gwenn Gooding pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal bank embezzlement charges. Both are from Owego in Tioga County.

Hartunian says Horton was a branch manager when she stole $200,000 and Gooding stole $100,000 while head teller at the Chemung Canal Trust branch in their hometown between December 2004 and September 2011.

He says a former teller, 28-year-old Shannon Moore of Athens, Pa., previously pleaded guilty to the same charge for stealing $25,000.

All three face up to 30 years in prison and million dollar fines. They're scheduled to be sentenced in the spring.

Owego is 18 miles west of Binghamton.
