Bitter cold temperatures in Central New York rise slightly

SYRACUSE -- Central New Yorkers will catch a break from the recent cold snap but, although not quite as bitter as the last couple of days, it is still very chilly this morning.

There have been some flurries and light snow showers overnight.  Some spots have gotten a coating of snow to over an inch.  Although this is far from a dumping of the white stuff, remember that it is very cold and untreated roads will be slick.
