SYRACUSE -- If you have Time Warner Cable, you may notice that your bill is a little higher starting in March. Time Warner spokesperson Stephanie Salanger told CNY Central that customer bills would be going up about 2.5%.

If you are in a promotional package, like roughly 67% of Time Warner customers are, your bill will not be affected, according to Salanger.

She also said that the increase does not affect phone or internet service, just television.

The extra money will go to defray higher programming costs and investing in network infrastructure. They hope to be able to offer new HD channels, more OnDemand choices and faster internet speeds, Salanger says.
