SYRACUSE -- Monster Jam is coming to Syracuse this Saturday and preparations are underway at the Carrier Dome.
A record crowd attended Monster Jam when it came to Syracuse last March. It was the largest crowd at a Monster Jam event in the Northeast.
The Syracuse Police Department is advising those attending Monster Jam to avoid parking near the Carrier Dome and to expect traffic delays.
All University parking lots near the Dome are Permit Only and there is no drop off or pick up permitted on the streets surrounding the Dome.
Police advise spectators coming from north of the Syracuse to use Route 481 south to avoid traffic delays on I-81 at the Harrison St off ramp.
To avoid traffic delays, ticketing, and possible towing, the Syracuse Police Department suggests parking at Syracuse University's Manley or Skytop parking facilities. The parking fee includes shuttle service to and from the Dome.
